2. Acceptance of These Terms
By accessing or using motif.knittedforyou.com and any linked pages or services (the “Site”), you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
3. Description of the Services
Motif Knitting provides an online platform for creating, editing, viewing, and exporting knitting motifs and patterns. Our Services may include (without limitation): an interactive motif editor, line-by-line knitting view, pattern generator, downloadable/exportable PDF files, community features (such as sharing), and paid features such as individual motif access and subscriptions (together, the “Services”).

4. Accounts and Registration
To use certain features, you must create an account and provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and all activity under your account.
You agree not to use a username that impersonates another person, infringes rights (including trademarks), or is unlawful or offensive.
The Services are intended for individuals aged 13 or older. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.
5. User Conduct
You may not use the Services for unlawful purposes or in ways that harm others or the platform. You agree not to:
- Harass, threaten, impersonate, or intimidate others;
- Upload or share content that is defamatory, obscene, abusive, or infringes intellectual property rights;
- Attempt to obtain another user’s password, account, or private information;
- Send spam or malicious content;
- Use robots, scrapers, or automated tools to access the Site without our written permission;
- Interfere with the security or operation of the Services;
- Sell or transfer your account or profile.
We may (but are not obliged to) monitor content and activity and may suspend or terminate accounts for violations.
6. Your Content & Intellectual Property
“User Content” means motifs, patterns, images, text, or other materials you upload or create on the Services. You retain ownership of your User Content as between you and us.
By uploading or creating User Content on the Services, you grant Knitted for You a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, and distribute your User Content as necessary to operate and provide the Services. This includes displaying your User Content to you and (if you choose to share it) to other users. We may also use your User Content (in whole or in part) for promotional purposes, with attribution where appropriate, unless you request removal or disable sharing.
You represent and warrant that you have the rights to upload and share User Content and that it does not infringe third-party rights.
Copyright Complaints
If you believe content on the Services infringes your copyright, please contact info@knittedforyou.com with details (what content, where it appears, and why you believe it infringes). We may remove content or restrict access while we investigate.
7. License to Use the Software
The Services include online software tools (including but not limited to the Line-by-Line feature, Motif Editor, and Pattern Generator). Knitted for You grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services for personal use, subject to these Terms.
You do not acquire ownership of the software or any intellectual property rights in the platform.
- You may not reverse engineer, copy, modify, or distribute the software;
- You may not attempt to extract source code;
- You may not resell or provide access to the Services to others (except where a feature explicitly allows sharing);
- You may not use the Services for unlawful purposes.
8. Digital Products (Individual Motif Purchases)
Users may purchase individual digital motifs or related digital content. Upon successful payment, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the purchased motif for personal knitting use only, unless otherwise explicitly stated.
Interactive features provided in connection with an individual motif purchase are limited to that specific motif and do not grant access to platform-wide premium functionality.
Restrictions
You may not:
- Resell, redistribute, sublicense, or share the digital file or exported digital content;
- Upload motif files or exported PDFs to other platforms;
- Commercially exploit the motif file itself without written permission.
Handmade Finished Items
You may sell small quantities of handmade finished physical items you create using purchased motifs. Mass production, factory production, or commercial manufacturing is not permitted without a separate written license from Knitted for You.
Exported PDF files are licensed for personal use only and may not be redistributed, resold, or shared digitally.
9. Subscriptions (Knitted for You Plus)
Certain features of the Services may be available through a paid subscription (“Subscription”).
- Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, depending on your selection).
- Your Subscription will automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
- You may cancel at any time through your account settings. Access remains active until the end of the current billing period.
- No partial refunds are provided for unused portions of a billing period unless required by applicable law.
- We may change subscription pricing. Users will be notified in advance of price changes.
Access After Subscription Ends
If your Subscription expires or is cancelled, access to premium features of the Services (including interactive tools such as Line-by-Line, Pattern Generator, and advanced editing functionality) will be suspended.
You will retain access to your account and any previously exported or downloaded PDF files. Reactivation of a Subscription restores access to premium features.
10. Payments
Payments are processed securely through third-party payment providers such as Stripe. Knitted for You does not store full payment card details. You agree to provide accurate billing information. If payment fails, we may suspend access to paid Services until payment is successfully processed.
You are responsible for any taxes applicable to your purchase unless otherwise stated.
11. Refund Policy
Refunds for digital products and subscriptions are generally not provided once access has been granted, except where required by mandatory consumer protection laws.
If you believe a billing error has occurred, please contact us at info@knittedforyou.com within a reasonable time so we can investigate.
12. Fair Use
We may limit usage that is abusive, excessively automated, or harms platform performance for other users. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate fair use or these Terms.
13. Termination
You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or where necessary to protect the Services, other users, or legal compliance.
14. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Knitted for You will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Services.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such limitation is not permitted under applicable law.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by posting an announcement on the Site and/or by other reasonable means. Continued use of the Services after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. If you are a consumer residing within the European Union, you may also have rights under the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence.
Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Swedish courts, unless otherwise required by mandatory consumer protection legislation.
